SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed regarding the higher quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company point produced for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable here the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
